Projects Supporting Children and Youth
House of Mercy Orphanage
A ministry where mistreated, abandoned and abused children will have the opportunity to experience a loving home and a happy childhood. On January 10, 2005, the House of Mercy Orphanage opened its doors to receive its children. To date, over 160 children have come through her doors, each sent to us by God to be cared for, educated, and shown God's love. All that we do for each of the children, as Jesus said, we do unto Him.
Send a Teenager to Camp—Give a Youth Camp Scholarship
Make a difference today in the life of a teenager who wants to attend camp and consider giving to Southwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church -Youth Camp Scholarship Fund: Advance Special #2030. can give scholarships in the amount of $25, $50, $75, $100 or up. All your donations will go directly to helping send teenagers to a youth camp or Midwinter Retreat.
To make a tax deductible gift to the SWTX Camp Scholarship Fund, make checks payable to the: Rio Treasurer, c/o: Advance Special #2030, 16400 Huebner Rd, San Antonio TX 78248. Be sure to write the Advance code number and “Youth Camp Scholarship Fund” on the check as well.
