“Alamo United Methodist Church is a praying family of love, bridging Jesus Christ and the community through God’s word, mercy and grace.”
Alamo Methodist Church was founded in 1908 and had its original home location on Alamo Street in San Antonio. Alamo church soon became known as the “Friendly Church on the Corner”.At our current location, Alamo United Methodist Church continues to live up the moniker as we open our doors to the community and anyone wishing to find a “Spiritual Home”.
Prayers
We are a praying church not only praying for prayers and thankfulness on Sunday but also during the week. We offer a caring and compassionate Prayer Ministry Service in both private and group settings.
Presence
The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:25, “Forsake not the assembling of the Saints.” Being together we can encourage and uplift each other with our presence and also in the Lord’s presence.
Gifts
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, “says the Lord Almighty,” and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it all.” AUMC Supports The Agape Ministry, as well as national and World Missions.
Witness
There are many areas that we reach out to the community. We open our doors for summer youth programs, Scouts, Home Owners Associations and other community groups.
We invite you to visit our little church and become a member of our spiritual family. We hope that you will discover the blessings of friendship and love that our congregation provides through God’s Word, Mercy and Grace.
