Additional Information on Special Worship Services
Six distinct periods of Christian observances. Each focuses upon a different aspect of the Christian experience and tradition. These periods or seasons do not necessarily occur on the same dates from year to year, but are related to the dates of the two principal Christian celebrations of Christmas and Easter. UMC Term Glossary Revised Common Lectionary
*Drive-by Ashes are a service provided to those who cannot attend services for the imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday. You do not need to be an Alamo UMC member to receive this service, it is open to the public on request. This service is provided upon request to the Church office. Provide your name and location when requesting this service.
*The Communion Sunday Offering is pledged by Alamo United Methodist Church to support the AGAPE Ministries. Please remember this commitment on Communion Sunday
Children’s church is held during the normal worship times. This new program is available for children ages 4 years through 5th grade. Children’s Church will not be available on Communion Sunday or other Special worship Sundays.
